Sonia Bompastor has made four changes to her Chelsea side for our first Women's Super League match of the season against Aston Villa.
After the midweek win over Real Sociedad, Bompastor explained she was delighted to utilise some of the younger members of the squad during the 1-0 victory.
And having rotated on Wednesday, the head coach now makes four changes to her starting line-up, bringing Veerle Buurman into the defence with summer signing Katie McCabe, who makes her first appearance at Stamford Bridge as a Chelsea player today.
Sjoeke Nusken comes back into the midfield alongside Keira Walsh as Chelsea Academy graduate Lexi Potter is named on the bench. Alyssa Thompson is back in the starting XI to spearhead the attack.
Aggie Beever-Jones, who signed a contract extension until 2030 this summer, makes her 100th appearance for the Blues in our first match at the Bridge since it was made our permanent home.
Chelsea: Hampton, Carpenter, Bronze (c), Buurman, McCabe, Walsh, Nusken, Kaptein, James, Thompson, Beever-Jones
