Sonia Bompastor has made seven changes to her Chelsea side for our Women's League Cup quarter-final against Liverpool at the BrewDog Stadium in St Helens.

Bompastor has utilised her squad depth to make wholesale alterations to the side after we travelled to Wolfsburg on Wednesday night and secured qualification for the Women's Champions League quarter-finals.

That includes a first Chelsea start for 19-year-old midfielder Lexi Potter, who is included in today's starting XI after having made three substitute appearances in the UWCL this season.

Veerle Buurman comes into the side in defence for her fifth start of the campaign, and is joined by Sjoeke Nusken, Wieke Kaptein, Guro Reiten, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and Aggie Beever-Jones, all of whom were on the bench in Germany on Wednesday.

Sam Kerr keeps her place in the line-up, having scored our second goal in what was a crucial 2-1 win that saw us advance to the UWCL quarter-final.

Chelsea: Peng, Bright (c), Buurman, Charles, Nusken, Potter, Kaptein, Reiten, Rytting Kaneryd, Beever-Jones, Kerr
