Sonia Bompastor has made three changes to her Chelsea side as we face Manchester City in an important Women's Super League clash at the top of the table.

The Blues sit nine points behind today's opponents in the Women's Super League table, but could cut that deficit with a positive result this afternoon.

Bompastor has named Veerle Buurman in defence in place of Lucy Bronze, while Lauren James also comes into the starting line-up in place of Guro Reiten.

After recovering from an injury layoff, Keira Walsh starts in midfield against her former side alongside Erin Cuthbert.

There's plenty of firepower on the bench should the head coach decide to switch things up, as Sam Kerr and Aggie Beever-Jones are named among the substitutes this afternoon.

Chelsea: Hampton, Carpenter, Bright (c), Buurman, Girma, Baltimore, Cuthbert, Walsh, Kaptein, James, Thompson

Chelsea substitutes: Spencer, Peng, Nusken, Reiten, Rytting Kaneryd, Kerr, Potter, Beever-Jones, Sarwie
