Emma Hayes has made five changes to her Chelsea side for this afternoon's Women's Super League clash against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Our league campaign resumes following the mid-season break, and we are looking to re-establish their three-point lead at the top of the table in front of a big crowd at Stamford Bridge.

Hayes has opted to freshen up her side following last weekend's Women's FA Cup victory over West Ham United. Hannah Hampton starts in goal for the Blues with Zecira Mucovic dropping to the substitutes' bench.

There are changes in the backline, too. Ashley Lawrence and Kadeisha Buchanan keep their places but there is a full Chelsea debut for January signing Nathalie Bjorn, who steps in for Jess Carter.

Niamh Charles, who has signed a new contract with the Blues, returns at left-back and captains the side this afternoon.

In midfield, Melanie Leupolz comes into the side to partner Erin Cuthbert, who has struck four goals in her last three matches.

Johanna Rytting-Kaneryd keeps her place on the right of the attack; Guro Reiten is set to be deployed off the left. Lauren James will occupy the No.10 role with Mia Fishel coming in to spearhead the frontline.

Chelsea: Hampton; Lawrence, Buchanan, Bjorn, Charles (c); Cuthbert, Leupolz; Rytting-Kaneryd, James, Reiten; Fishel

Chelsea substitutes: Musovic, Carter, Perisset, Mjelde, Cankovic, Nuksen, Ignle,  Kirby, Beever-Jones
