Fran Kirby is a late addition to the Chelsea Women side to face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup at Kingsmeadow today, replacing Lauren James in the starting XI.

Following the midweek League Cup victory over Sunderland, Emma Hayes rung the changes in her team for this afternoon’s home FA Cup meeting with Crystal Palace, with 11 new faces initially coming into the side.

Hannah Hampton returns in goal, with one January signing Nathalie Bjorn lining up in the centre of defence alongside Jess Carter. Ashley Lawrence and Niamh Charles are the full-backs, the latter captaining the side today.

Melanie Leupolz and Erin Cuthbert resume their midfield partnership, while an attacking trio of Guro Reiten, Lauren James and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd were set to line up in front of them. However, a late change saw Fran Kirby replace Lauren James, meaning Kirby is the only player to start both the win over Sunderland and today's match.

Another new arrival, Mayra Ramirez, gets the nod up front for her first experience of the FA Cup on her second start in a Chelsea shirt.
