The Blues are coming off a 6-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge last weekend and now face another test in the WSL against the newly-promoted Eagles.

Bompastor has switched Keira Walsh for Sjoeke Nusken, while Maika Hamano – who scored a wonder goal against Spurs – comes in for Lauren James.

Lexi Potter starts against the team where she spent two seasons on loan. She helped Palace earn promotion to the WSL in 2023/24 and returned to spend a full campaign in the top flight the following year.

And after completing her recovery from injury and scoring a hat-trick for the Under-18s last weekend, summer signing Manaka Matsukubo is named on the bench for the first time this season.

Chelsea: Hampton, Carpenter, Bronze (c), Buchanan, McCabe, Nusken, Potter, Kaptein, Thompson, Hamano, Malard

Chelsea substitutes: Peng, Buurman, Las, Dragoni, Baltimore, Brown, Cuthbert, Matsukubo, Beever-Jones
