Sonia Bompastor has made five changes to her Chelsea side for our UEFA Women's Champions League match against Roma at Plough Lane this evening.

Following our 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend, Bompastor has taken the opportunity to rotate her starting XI.

Captain Erin Cuthbert makes her first start of the season after recovering from injury, taking her place in midfield alongside Lexi Potter and Wieke Kaptein. Sjoeke Nusken is among the substitutes.

Ellie Carpenter has come in for Veerle Buurman in defence, and Katie McCabe has been replaced by Sandy Baltimore after the latter weighed in with a goal and an assist last Sunday. Lauren James starts in place of Maika Hamano.

After netting a brace at the weekend, Melvine Malard steps out of the side, with Aggie Beever-Jones starting in her place.

Chelsea: Hampton, Bronze, Buchanan, Buurman, Baltimore, Cuthbert (c), Potter, Kaptein, Thompson, James, Beever-Jones

Chelsea substitutes: Peng, Spencer, Bjorn, Carpenter, McCabe, Walsh, Hamano, Dragoni, Nusken, Brown, Matsukubo, Malard
