Nelly Las gives us an insight into her journey to Chelsea in an exclusive interview in the matchday programme for this weekend’s WSL fixture against Birmingham City at Stamford Bridge.
The England Under-20s full-back is settling in nicely to life with the Blues and is loving the levels she is seeing every day in training here.
'I’m really enjoying it,' she says. 'All the girls are really nice, and they’ve really welcomed me. Training’s been really intense, which I’ve really enjoyed as well, and I think it’s great for me to develop as a player.
'You just see all of the players, and how high-level they are. Being around that every day, not just on the pitch, but also off the pitch, and seeing their standards, has been really great.
'I think this is the place I want to be, especially because I’m young. I can really learn from them.'
Elsewhere in the programme, there’s a pull-out poster of Sjoeke Nusken, while we put the spotlight on Veerle Buurman to find out more about her career and life away from the pitch, and Aggie Beever-Jones takes us through her journey so far after reaching 100 games for Chelsea.
Sandy Baltimore recalls some of her “firsts and favs” in life, and of course there is all the info you need ahead of the game in question, not to mention the latest columns from Sonia Bompastor and Erin Cuthbert.
