A busy fixture schedule last month saw us play five matches across three different competitions and we emerged from that run in good shape, progressing in both the Adobe Women’s FA Cup and UEFA Women’s Champions League while preserving our lead at the top of the WSL.

Hayes and her coaching team oversaw consecutive league victories against Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion where we scored six goals while conceding just one in the process, leaving us with a three-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.

Lauren James, who takes home the WSL Player of the Month award for January, scored five of our six league goals during the month with the young forward and Hayes earning individual recognition for their respective efforts.
