Enzo Fernandez is already a World Cup winner with Argentina and the joy that success gave him has the Chelsea midfielder craving another triumph on the biggest stage of all.
Fernandez was named the Best Young Player at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as Argentina dramatically lifted the trophy in Doha after a pulsating final against France. It finished 3-3 after extra-time with the Argentines triumphing on penalties.
In an exclusive interview with Enzo before he set off to compete in his second World Cup, he told us about the sensation of winning the tournament and representing his nation.
‘Anywhere in the world you go there is always an Argentine supporting the team, supporting wherever we play,’ says Enzo in an interview you can watch in full above.
‘There are Argentines around the world, and especially when you go to play in the country, it’s crazy. The truth is that people love football.
‘Obviously we will try to defend our trophy so we will do our best to represent Argentina.’
