Brazil head coach and former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is a big admirer of Estevao Willian, who further underlined his potential with a fine finish against Senegal on Saturday.
Estevao netted his fourth international goal in just ten appearances for the Selecao, and speaking after the friendly at the Emirates, Ancelotti heaped praise on the Blues attacker.
'Estevao has an incredible amount of talent,’ said Ancelotti.
‘It’s a surprise this level at his age. He’s good at finishing, has a lot of magic, and he works very hard. I can say this: with Estevao, Brazil have a guaranteed future.'
He is currently averaging a goal every 95 minutes for his country, while the 18-year-old has been in fine form for the Blues, too. He has scored four goals in his last eight games for us, with several of those substitute appearances.
That ability to make an impact in a brief period has caught Ancelotti’s eye.
‘He’s a very talented player. He is able to show every game, in Chelsea too, and he doesn’t need a lot of minutes to show his quality. He can play five minutes and he can show his quality.
'I think the Brazil national team is really lucky to have him, and also Chelsea.'
