We’ve been busy working on developing our official club app in recent weeks to bring the best experience possible to our fans, and our latest version is now available to download in the App Store and via Google Play, with a personalised onboarding offering and a new interactive game now ready to be used.

Visit the Chelsea Official App today for a fresh experience when you first open it – with the chance to tailor the content you are served and to test your team selection skills. Here’s a rundown of what you can expect and why you need to download today!

Personalise the app to suit you!

Those beady-eyed fans amongst us will have noticed that a new onboarding section landed on the Chelsea Official App recently – found in the ‘My Chelsea’ tab - helping you select your favourite player, team and the types of features you are most interested in.

In short, this means that you now have greater control on the flow of features to enjoy in the app’s Latest feed, with the chance to express preferences for our men’s team, women’s team and Academy content, and to prioritise between the News, Video, Analysis and Games categories.

Once completed, you will be served only the content you wish to see – via the selections you’ve made – and these will all display in the Latest feed via the ‘For you’ tab. Don’t worry, you can always flip to the Latest tab to make sure you don’t miss anything else!

There is also the ability to share this content with fellow fans and friends via the social sharing button, and push notifications will also be better tailored to your chosen preferences, while you can also ‘show your colours’ by adding your name and number to our home, away or third kit icon in the app.

Predict the line-up

Fancy yourself as a future Chelsea head coach? Well, now you can put your selection skills to the test by playing our brand-new mini-game!

As part of our latest app update, which also includes better onboarding and the ability to personalise the content you are served, we are happy to roll out Predict the Line-Up, which is the first in our series of mini-games on the app.

Located in the Game Centre in the My Chelsea tab, this feature allows you to put yourself in the shoes of the head coach for our remaining fixtures this season. Predict the Line-Up allows you to guess the team formation and the players who will start the next game, and offers the opportunity to earn points for each one that matches correctly when the official line-ups are announced around an hour before kick-off.

There is, of course, also the ability to share your selections with your friends via the social sharing button.
