Chelsea Under-18s will host Manchester City next in a home tie in the FA Youth Cup fifth round.
The young Blues began our 2025/26 FA Youth Cup campaign in style with an entertaining west London derby victory over Brentford at Wheatsheaf Park, Kobe Barbour opening the scoring before Chizaram Ezenwata doubled our advantage. Brentford responded to set up a tense finish, but we saw out the contest for a 2-1 win.
Our fourth-round tie followed on Wednesday evening away at Reading, as Chelsea took control in the first half through a brace from Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, before a second-half Reggie Watson free-kick sealed a hard-fought 3-2 victory and booked our place in the fifth round of the prestigious academy competition.
The fifth-round draw on Friday afternoon paired us with the winner of that evening's match between Manchester City and Arsenal, with the former now confirmed as our next opponents after defeating the Gunners 5-2 at the Joie Stadium.
That means Man City will the visitors to Kingsmeadow for a mouthwatering game between two sides who have lifted the trophy 13 times between them.
Further details including date, kick-off time and ticket information will be announced in due course.
