Chelsea Under-18s booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup after a resilient 3-2 win against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, with Ryan Kavuma-McQueen scoring twice and Reggie Watson also on the scoresheet for the Blues.

The Blues returned to FA Youth Cup action with intensity following our triumph over Brentford, making an immediate statement. Just six minutes in, Kavuma-McQueen’s dazzling footwork saw him glide past defenders before firing a low strike into the bottom corner to give Chelsea the lead.

Reading responded with a spectacular effort from T'Shay St Louis, who unleashed a rising shot into the top corner to level the score. But Chelsea regained control before half-time. Kavuma-McQueen struck again, this time with a precise long-range effort that made it 2-1.

The third goal came from Watson, whose whipped free-kick curled beautifully into the top corner to extend the Blues’ advantage. Reading continued to push and pulled one back through a deflected strike from George Booth, but Chelsea held firm to secure the hard-fought victory.
