The Fantasy Football Scout is here to preview the weekend’s fixtures and is on hand to give you all the top tips ahead of gameweek 28. Here, we look at which Chelsea player should be in your side, who the most popular captain choice is and why Marcos Alonso is a must-have if you want to get ahead of the competition.

The differentiator you need

After last weekend’s victory over Tottenham, Chelsea visit Bournemouth on Saturday looking to consolidate our top-four spot in the Premier League.

Frank Lampard’s decision to opt for a wing-back formation paid off against Spurs, with Marcos Alonso (£6.0m) scoring the second in a 2-1 win.

The Spaniard’s potential for returns at both ends of the pitch makes him a ready-made differential option for Gameweek 28 of Fantasy Premier League.

Owned by just 2.3 per cent of FPL managers, Alonso has combined two goals and three assists with four clean sheets over his nine appearances this season.

Indeed, he has produced either attacking or defensive points in all seven of his Gameweek starts.

When named in the Chelsea XI, Alonso has averaged 7.5 points per appearance – more than any team-mate.

Giroud’s the one you want

Olivier Giroud (£6.5m) looks set for a third successive start up front, with Tammy Abraham (£7.6m) ruled out of the visit to the Vitality Stadium through injury.

The Frenchman justified his inclusion in the line-up for the first time since Gameweek 14 by netting the opener against Spurs.

That helped Giroud claim the maximum FPL bonus points, earning nine points in total.

He looks poised to continue that form and punish a Cherries defence that are without a clean sheet in their last 10 matches.

Captain’s choice

Once again, it’s hard to look past Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) for the Gameweek 28 captaincy in FPL.

The Liverpool attacker has an outstanding record against Watford ahead of his visit to Vicarage Road.

Salah has scored eight goals and provided two assists in his five meetings with the Hornets.

Play your free hit

A top tip for this weekend would be to cash in your 'free hit'. With the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Sheffield United and Aston Villa not in action, then this could be the perfect time to play your free hit.
