The latest episode of ‘Out of the Blue’ on our official YouTube channel features Fernando Torres reliving that famous goal in the Camp Nou, as well as an exclusive chat with two of our latest Academy debutants Tino Anjorin and Ian Maatsen…
Hosts Portia, Zac and Dan have been at Stamford Bridge and Cobham to catch up with Chelsea players past and future, while also chatting with supporters around the ground on matchday and offering them the chance to win a Tammy Abraham shirt.
Torres talks all about his memories of our memorable Champions League semi-final tie against Barcelona in 2012, culminating in our European triumph in Munich, and also reflects on his enjoyable time living in London.
‘We needed to try to not concede in the first half but everything went the opposite way,’ our former number nine says of that night in Spain. ‘2-0 down after 20 minutes, John Terry was sent off so we were thinking this is not going to be a good night.’

‘I didn’t tell my family at first because I wanted it to be a massive surprise but then they found out before I told them,’ admits Anjorin, who has been training at the club since the age of six. ‘It was bad. As I got home, they were like "is there something you’ve got to tell us" so they already knew but they were buzzing.’
