The Conference League has been hugely important to Filip Jorgensen this season and the goalkeeper has explained why 'nothing is done yet' heading into tonight's semi-final second leg with Djurgarden.

Jorgensen has only missed 90 minutes of our Conference League campaign so far - and that was when he was selected ahead of Robert Sanchez for our Premier League games in advance of the last 16 first leg against Copenhagen so Maresca rotated his goalkeepers.

The 23-year-old has made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Blues since joining from Villarreal in the summer and he highlighted how important the Conference League campaign has been for him personally ahead of our semi-final second leg against Djurgarden.

Jorgensen said: 'It has been very, very important for me, to get as many games as I can to keep proving myself and to show I want to play well and I want to play in the big games.

'We have full focus. We take it as seriously as any other game. We want to be in a European final so we will take it very seriously.’

Chelsea's squad has a number of players with winners' medals from major tournaments: Marc Cucurella was part of the Spain squad that won the Euros last summer, Enzo Fernandez is a World Cup winner and Reece James was part of the Blues team when we lifted the Champions League in 2021.

A few days earlier, a Villarreal side - which had included Jorgensen among their replacements in six of the previous matches in the competition - lifted the Europa League after beating Manchester United.

But this Chelsea squad also contains a lot of young players searching for a first major trophy and Jorgensen said: ‘It would be very important for all of us. Not many of us have European titles to our name yet so for everyone it would be important.

‘There will always be pressure at this kind of big club so it is just normal. We go out trying to do our best and try to win the game.’

Chelsea head into Thursday night's Conference League semi-final second leg against Djurgarden with a 4-1 advantage following our victory in Sweden last week.

Jorgensen was asked if the players were at risk of complacency heading into tonight's match at the Bridge, replying: ‘I don’t think any of us think this is done yet. We have 90 minutes left to play of a European semi-final so we will give it our all and we want to win this game as well.’

Thousands of Djurgarden fans are making the trip over from Sweden, where Jorgensen was born and raised until the age of 12.

And the Denmark international said: ‘It is a great game, it is a semi-final of a European competition and their fans will still believe they can turn it around and we are still very focused on getting the job done and getting the win at home.

‘So nothing is done and we want to get the job done and we want to win it.’
