Trevoh Chalobah, Enzo Fernandez, Alejandro Garnacho, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro have all reached a century of Premier League appearances in recent months – and the quintet were presented with medals at Cobham to mark the milestone.
Joao Pedro was the first to play 100 Premier League games, in our victory against Wolves back in November. Later the same month, at home to Arsenal, Alejandro Garnacho did likewise, becoming the youngest South America to reach that landmark at 21 years and 152 days old.
In December, Trevoh Chalobah and Enzo Fernandez brought up a century of English top-flight games – against Aston Villa and Bournemouth respectively – before Palmer reached the same figure at Fulham.
Each of Fernandez’s appearances in the Premier League have come in Chelsea blue, with Joao Pedro (Watford and Brighton), Garnacho (Manchester United), Chalobah (Crystal Palace) and Palmer (Manchester City) having featured for other clubs in the competition.
Since the 2017/18 season, Premier League Milestones have been awarded to players who have reached 100, 200 and 300 appearances in England’s top division, with each recipient being given a medallion and a plaque to honour the achievement.
The five players received their medals at Cobham earlier this week and our photographer was on hand to capture the moment. Congratulations, lads!
