Chelsea's Women's Super League title defence begins with a fixture against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

The 2025/26 WSL fixture schedule has now been released, and the 22-game league campaign will begin with a Friday evening clash against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

Our first away trip will see us travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa, and high-profile matches against Manchester United and Arsenal will follow.

This season, there will be four matches played at Stamford Bridge, which have now been confirmed. The first is the campaign opener against Manchester City, then a clash against newly promoted London City Lionesses in November will follow. In January 2026, we will face Arsenal at the Bridge, as well as our final home game in May against Manchester United.

You can secure your spot to all four games at Stamford Bridge with The Bridge Pass, saving you 20 per cent compared to buying individual match tickets throughout the season.

Although all fixtures play an important role in deciding the outcome of an entire season, we've picked five standout clashes to look out for in particular during the forthcoming campaign.

Chelsea vs Manchester City | 7 September

Last season, we faced four consecutive games against Man City during an intense period of the campaign in March.

The first saw Sonia Bompastor win her first-ever trophy at Chelsea, with a 2-1 win over the Cityzens in the Women's League Cup final, before we lost 2-0 in the first leg of the Women's Champions League quarter-final just four days later.

As fate would have it, the following Saturday we were up against the same opponent in league action, and a last-minute winner from Erin Cuthbert secured a vital 2-1 win as we chased down the title. Then came the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final, and a brilliant first half from the Blues saw us score three goals and overturn the deficit to reach the semi-final.

Those clashes set us up for another thrilling battle against top-level opposition, and a game not to be missed at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United vs Chelsea | 4 October

(Fixture date subject to change)

We return to Leigh Sports Village in early October, the scene of our WSL title win last season. A headed goal from Lucy Bronze secured a hard-fought win against Marc Skinner's side, as we clinched the trophy with two games still to play.

Both Hannah Hampton and Reds goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce made some incredible saves in that match, and it's sure to be another tough match in Manchester this time around.

Chelsea vs London City Lionesses | 2 November

(Fixture date subject to change)

A derby fixture against newly-promoted London City Lionesses will be an interesting prospect at Stamford Bridge in early November.

The ambitious side, headed up by Lyon president Michele Kang, signed Sweden captain Kosovare Asllani, and have since added to their squad with the capture of Netherlands midfielder Danielle van de Donk and the experienced Nikita Parris from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Chelsea vs Arsenal | 25 January

(Fixture date subject to change)

As we head into 2026, we face a fixture that needs no introduction. Last season saw us do a league double over the Gunners, and this clash at Stamford Bridge will see us once again look to overcome our rivals.

A Guro Reiten penalty was the only goal that separated the two sides in January last year, and it's going to be another post-Christmas treat of a fixture for Blues fans this season too.

Chelsea vs Manchester United | 16 May

(Fixture date subject to change)

There was a party atmosphere inside Stamford Bridge for our final home match of the season against Liverpool. The Blues had already sealed our title win away at Man United, but there was still something to play for as we looked to end our entire campaign unbeaten.

A late Aggie Beever-Jones strike saw us win the game and seal that record-breaking unbeaten season, and the celebrations really began when we lifted the trophy in front of our fans.

This fixture could once again prove pivotal in our season as we once again chase silverware in the WSL.
