Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Ellie Carpenter, Hannah Hampton and Keira Walsh have all been shortlisted for the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11.
The Chelsea quintet have been recognised by their peers from all over the world after enjoying fantastic 2024/25 campaigns.
Bright captained the Blues to a domestic Treble as we went the entire WSL season unbeaten, while Bronze, Hampton and Walsh were also integral members of Sonia Bompastor’s side.
That trio finished the campaign by helping England win the European Championships in Switzerland with a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Spain in the final.
Carpenter joined Chelsea in the summer from Lyon, where she won the French title last season. Like the Blues, Lyon also reached the Champions League semi-finals.
The FIFPRO Women’s World XI will be announced on Monday 3 November, when the initial 26-person squad revealed today is whittled down to 11. The goalkeeper, as well as the three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards who receive the most votes are selected, with the remaining spot assigned to the outfield player with the next highest number of votes who is not selected already.
Players must have appeared in at least 30 official matches in the period of 15 July 2024 to 3 August 2025 to be eligible.
Chelsea players have made the team on 10 occasions in the decade it has been running, with Bright, Sam Kerr and Lauren James each featuring twice. Bronze’s seven selections over the years is the joint-most of any player, along with Wendie Renard.
