Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink vs Arsenal 2001

Hasselbaink loved a long-range strike and this thunderous effort in front of a Clock End full of Chelsea fans got Jimmy Floyd cartwheeling in celebration.

Nicolas Anelka vs Watford 2009

The Blues, under the temporary stewardship of Ray Wilkins, were trailing to Championship side Watford when Anelka acrobatically hooked the ball over his shoulder from close range. The French forward would go on to score a perfect hat-trick.

Raul Meireles vs Birmingham 2012

In a replay at St Andrews, Raul Meireles blasted a shot into the top corner from the edge of the box to seal a gritty 2-0 victory in what would turn out to be an FA Cup-winning campaign.

Willian vs Hull 2018

Willian netted two fine strikes against Hull City in 2018 and it is the first of those we have picked out, a left-footed curler placed to perfection inside 90 seconds on our way to a 4-0 victory.

Ross Barkley vs Liverpool 2020

In our penultimate game before the pandemic halted football, Ross Barkley drove from inside his own half before planting a powerful shot into the bottom corner to crown a fine 2-0 victory over champions-elect Liverpool.
