There were more players involved in training today as those on international duty continue to return to Cobham ahead of Sunday's visit to Bournemouth.
The international action came to an end on Tuesday evening, although the time difference and travelling required means South Americans Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are not back with the group yet.
However, our England contingent were fresh from the satisfaction of a 3-1 win away to Scotland, with Conor Gallagher and Ben Chilwell quickly into the thick of things.
Lesley Ugochukwu played his first games for the French Under-21 national team as they beat Denmark and Slovenia convincingly.
During his time away, the midfielder spoke to the media about his move to Chelsea from Rennes, explaining why he has decided to test himself at a higher level.
‘What I am learning at Chelsea, on a daily basis and during games, will allow me to strengthen myself and mature in my game,' Lesley said.
'When you are young, you have to play, of course, but I feel ready to fight for earn my place. I have great confidence in myself, in my qualities, in what I can do.
'I know that if I do things correctly, everything will go as planned. I have the trust of the club, of the staff, that’s what pushed me to say to myself: Go for it! If they came for you, it’s because you have the qualities.’
Malo Gusto also featured for France's Under-21 side in the past week, playing twice at right-back.
Following the injury Reece James suffered, Gusto has been thrust into the action and he recently detailed what he believes he can offer this Chelsea side.
‘I would say I like to put the effort in. With modern football you must like to play with your heart and give it your all. I like to have a good technical touch to get past players, score and deliver assists.
‘To do that I often think that I need to feel happy on and off the pitch, and to be fit. Then I just want to improve and become the player I want to be.’
Cole Palmer found the net in style on Monday, whipping a shot from 16 yards out into the top corner via the underside of the crossbar as England Under-21s defeated Luxembourg 3-0.
After a bright first Chelsea appearance off the bench against Nottingham Forest the day after he signed, the attacker will be hopeful of making his debut at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.
Robert Sanchez will be returning to the South Coast on Sunday, although around 60 miles down the A27 from Brighton, where he spent so many years before joining the Blues this summer.
Sanchez is seeking a second clean sheet in Chelsea colours, and he was at full stretch today as the sun shone at our Cobham training base.
