The preparations for our final Premier League fixture of the season continued on Tuesday, as the Blues put in another day of hard work in training at Cobham, with a huge game against Nottingham Forest firmly in our sights.

In an unusual day at Cobham, although the team remains united in their focus on Sunday’s match, Tuesday saw us hosting UEFA for their pre-Conference League final media day.

In addition to a press conference conducted by Enzo Maresca, the media day included an open training session, the first hour of which took place in front of the media and live TV cameras. Despite that, it was a crucial Premier League away trip to Nottingham Forest which was foremost in the minds of the Chelsea head coach and his players during Tuesday’s session.

‘The focus in this moment is just about Nottingham [Forest], and then after Sunday we will be focused on the final,’ explained Maresca. ‘With the players, the main target is Forest. Don’t worry, they are going to be focused on Sunday, and then on Wednesday.'

Following the 1-0 win over Manchester United last time out in the Premier League on Friday evening, we know our fate is in our own hands, as another victory at the City Ground would guarantee our spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

‘The focus has been on us because we knew that winning both our last two games means we finish well,’ said Enzo. ‘We won on Friday, now it’s not about pressure or anyone else. It’s about us again. We need to be focused, prepare the game in the best way and try to win the last game.’

That decisive last match against Nottingham Forest kicks off at 4pm on Sunday - and will be shown live on Sky Sports - before our attention will then switch over to the European stage, ahead of next Wednesday’s Conference League final with Real Betis in Poland.
