Chelsea's players were hard at work once more as we stepped up preparations for tomorrow night's Carabao Cup tie with Newcastle United. Here we have some of the standout pictures from today's training session.
The Blues head to the North East tomorrow having only faced the Magpies on Sunday, with Enzo Maresca's men coming out on top following a hard-fought 2-1 win in the Premier League.
Cole Palmer once again grabbed the majority of headlines after a remarkable pass which led to the game's opening goal for Nicolas Jackson and then scoring the winner early in the second half.
But it was a real team effort and the majority of those who featured at Stamford Bridge on Sunday were training at Cobham this afternoon.
Maresca confirmed Filip Jorgensen would be starting in goal at St James' Park, as has been the case during cup competitions this season, with Robert Sanchez featuring in all of our Premier League matches.
But fans will have to wait to find out how many other alterations there will be to the starting XI, with the Italian often making wholesale changes to his line-up in the Carabao Cup and Conference League.
One of the players expected to be in the matchday squad is Jadon Sancho.
The 24-year-old has been an unused substitute for our last two matches, having started the previous four Premier League games, following his game-changing debut from the bench at Bournemouth.
Maresca was asked about Sancho during his pre-Newcastle United press conference here.
Chelsea have a wealth of attacking options at their disposal. While Palmer, Jackson and Noni Madueke already have seven, six and four Premier League goals to their names already, Christopher Nkunku, Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Pedro Neto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have all found the net in cup competitions this season.
Maresca says he will not be picking his starting line-up until after today's training session. But one thing is for sure, whatever XI is named, it is sure to be packed with talent.
