With approximately one million people in the UK living with dementia, many Chelsea families are affected by the disease. We recognise that a diagnosis does not suddenly stop someone’s love for their club, and although getting to a match may become difficult, a new publication is designed to help maintain the connection.

Forever Blue is a biannual magazine available for free, to all our supporters living with dementia. Over the past year, we have carefully collated stories and information to create a booklet that evokes nostalgia in our fans and provides advice on local services for those living with the condition.

Our journey began back in July 2024 with initial consultations with Alzheimer’s Society and we soon began a relationship with services in our local borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Staff from St Vincent’s day centre invited us to speak with clients of the day centre and the carers café. Not only was their advice incredibly valuable but we were also able to experience the amazing work they do first hand.

The first edition of Forever Blue features past cup wins, legendary players and favourite songs, as well as a puzzle and information on help that is at hand at our stadium and in the local area.

Once Blue, Forever Blue.
