Chelsea fan Wayne Cowell enjoyed a tour of Stamford Bridge recently as he collected a cheque for more than £2,000 as one of the latest winners of the Chelsea Foundation Raffles.

Wayne, from Gravesend in Kent, visited the changing rooms and press area before receiving his prize pitchside alongside his two sons having scooped the cash prize at the Sheffield United game in August.

On discovering he had won, at the very first attempt, Wayne was in disbelief, he said ‘I thought my son was winding me up! He said it about three times and then all the other fans around us were saying well done. I was amazed!

‘It’s a great cause and I was happy to support the Foundation, to win the prize and come here is obviously a massive bonus - the best £2 I’ve ever spent!’Tickets cost just £2 to enter the draw, and you can buy online or at the stadium in the build-up to the game – with our next matchday draw taking place at our home fixture against Newcastle where there will be over 100 prizes available to win.

Launched in September 2017, The Chelsea Foundation Raffle is dedicated to raising money for the Chelsea Foundation with 50 per cent of the funds going to winners and the other 50 per cent going back to supporting the good causes of the club’s Foundation and the cost of running the draw.
