Chelsea have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season. Scout will be using their expertise to provide advice and gameweek tips which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.
Here, we look at which Blues player is the best value-for-money pick, why Joao Pedro (£7.8m) is Chelsea’s most popular player this week and who you should captain in Gameweek 7.
Most popular Chelsea player of the week
After being transferred out by over 500,000 managers ahead of Gameweek 6 due to an injury flag, Joao Pedro quickly justified his status as the second most-selected player in FPL with his third double-digit haul in five starts. Following his brace and 12-point haul against Bournemouth, the Brazilian has risen in price and is over halfway to another rise ahead of Saturday’s deadline. Pedro is the most-bought forward of the Gameweek and the third most-bought player overall.
Among Chelsea players, Pedro ranks first for big chances with five and shots on target with six. The Blues number-nine also leads the way for expected goals (xG) and sits second for expected goal involvement (xGI). Fellow Blues attackers,Rogers and Cole Palmer (£9.7m), also feature in the top-seven most bought players of the Gameweek with 280,000+ and 140,000+ buys, respectively. The former is closer to a price rise.
Best value-for-money Chelsea pick
Pedro Neto (£6.5m) picked up an assist against Bournemouth and started as the right wing-back for the fifth consecutive match. The Portugal international had two shots on goal and registered one key pass. While Neto isn’t as explosive as the front three, he is the cheapest Chelsea attacker to start regularly.
The Chelsea number seven is also the biggest offensive differential available, currently sitting at just 1.4% of teams. The underlying data does provide some encouragement. Only Joao Pedro has had more big chances than Neto, while he has posted the most accurate crosses and passes into the penalty box of any Blues player.
Captain's pick
Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland (£15.6m) is an obvious captaincy pick with Man City hosting newly-promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday. The Norwegian has scored in five consecutive league matches, returning nine bonus points in that time, as well as notching a brace against PSG in midweek.
No player has had more shots in the box (21), while Haaland ranks second for big chances (10) among all positions. Opponents Ipswich have conceded the most xG (7.63) and big chances (15) of any team in away matches. For any managers yet to play the Triple Captain chip, it looks like a great opportunity to use the chip.
Elsewhere, Maxim De Cuyper (£5.1m) is an intriguing, differential option against Crystal Palace. Despite being classified as a defender in FPL, De Cuyper has started all six matches out-of-position on the left-wing. The Belgian international notched a 15-point haul last time out thanks to a goal, clean sheet and maximum bonus points. He is averaging nearly nine points per match and faces Crystal Palace at home in GW7. No club has conceded more expected goals than the Eagles so far this season.
