In the latest Ask Frank video, our head coach gives responses to questions posed by Chelsea fans (and a former team-mate) in an exclusive question and answer session, with the subjects ranging from today’s Premier League game on the south coast, to the boss reporting on the injury recovery of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Blues fans are asked regularly via our The 5th Stand app to supply their queries to be put to Lampard. They are posted via the Comments section on The 5th Stand and he takes time after his pre-match media conference is finished to answer a selection of them with our cameras filming the replies. The video of the answers can be watched above, with questions asked this week about what the condition of the players is like going into today’s game at Southampton after a busy recent period, the ability of Reece James who has featured prominently in the past couple of weeks and what his views are of Ryan Bertrand, his former Chelsea team-mate and fellow Champions League-winner who is now a Southampton player.

Lampard was also asked for an update on Ruben Loftus-Cheek who has been out since the end of last season.

'Ruben is progressing,' he replied. 'He has had a difficult injury, more severe than the one Callum Hudson-Odoi had, hence the extra time he is out. I don’t want to put any dates quite yet on when he will be back. He is working hard with the medical team, probably quite frustrated because it is an injury you have to pay respect to and sometimes it is slower than you would want, but we are keeping his spirits up and hopefully he will be back sooner rather than later.' The questions continued with a surprise one on the video from another of Lampard's team-mates from the past, Michael Ballack, who was a visitor at Cobham last week. You will have to watch the video above to hear what that question was! There will be a chance to submit questions for the next Ask Frank session soon.
