Chelsea stamped our authority on the capital once again with victory in our first-ever Women's Super League meeting with London City Lionesses. Here are some of our favourite images from a memorable day at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues continued our unbeaten start to the season and maintained our narrow one-point lead at the top of the table with a sixth win from our seven WSL matches so far when the newly-promoted Lionesses came to SW6 on Saturday.

While the men were in the north of the capital winning a derby meeting with Spurs, our women's team were doing the same on home soil in the west. We wasted no time taking the advantage at the Bridge, as our two wing-backs combined to give us an early lead, Ellie Carpenter slotting in from Sandy Baltimore's square pass.

However, the visitors proved stubborn and attempted to mount a late fightback in search of an equaliser, which thankfully was killed off in added time when Sam Kerr came off the bench to score an audacious lob, netting at the Bridge for the first time since returning from her lengthy injury lay-off.
