It was straight down to work for Liam Rosenior at Cobham today, as he oversaw his first training session as Chelsea head coach.
Rosenior was appointed on Tuesday and took on a watching brief for our Premier League clash with Fulham. Yet as our preparations for Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie against Charlton Athletic got underway this morning, the 41-year-old was out on the grass.
Working with the players who didn't play significant minutes at Craven Cottage – those who did undertook a recovery session inside – Rosenior began to instill his tactical principles and set the tone for what is expected from the group on the training pitches at our Surrey training base.
