European champions Lucy Bronze, Nimah Charlie and Aggie Beever-Jones were among the Chelsea players who returned to Cobham today to begin pre-season training ahead of the new campaign.

The countdown to the new season is firmly on, and tomorrow the Blues will fly out to the Netherlands for a training camp that will enable Sonia Bompastor and her players to intensify preparations for our opener against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Friday 5 September.

Bronze, Charles and Beever-Jones were part of a group returning to our Surrey base that also included Swedish duo Nathalie Bjorn and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, French pair Sandy Baltimore and Oriane Jean-Francois, German midfielder Sjoeke Nusken, and Norway international Guro Reiten.
