The left-back has joined from La Liga side Rayo Vallecano, signing a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge and bolstering Xabi Alonso's squad ahead of the new campaign.

Chavarria has spent his entire career playing in his native Spain, so this was a new experience for him – and as the photos captured by our photographer show, clearly one he enjoyed!
