Chelsea Under-19s are back in the UEFA Youth League this season, and our European campaign begins on Wednesday as we face Bayern Munich in the prestigious academy competition.
It is Calum McFarlane, our Under-21s head coach, who will lead the young Blues into European action. We haven't competed in the UEFA Youth League, which the Blues have twice won, since 2022.
The competition format mirrors that of Chelsea’s Men’s team, with our group stage opponents aligned across the first six fixtures. Bayern are first up in a game that kicks off at 3pm BST.
Our Under-18s and Under-21s have made impressive starts to the season, remaining unbeaten in league action thus far. The Under-19s squad for the Youth League will be a blend of players from both teams.
And with all players having now returned from the international duty across the continent, the group stepped up preparations on the training pitches ahead of our first European away fixture of the season.
