Chelsea were back on the grass at Cobham on Monday, with the welcome sight of skipper Reece James joining in with full training.
The second week of the October international break began with the Blues who remain at Cobham hard at work on the training pitch and in the gym, with six days remaining until the men's team resume Premier League action against Liverpool on Sunday.
Spirits seemed high in the squad as training took place under the watchful eye of head coach Enzo Maresca, no doubt helped by captain James joining the Blues out on the pitch for the first time this season.
The right-back has been out of action since picking up an injury during our pre-season tour of the USA, but resumed team training today as he continues his return to full fitness.
Another player back on the pitch at Cobham on Monday was Noni Madueke, among the first of our internationals to return from duty with their countries, after the winger featured as a substitute in England's 3-1 UEFA Nations League win in Finland yesterday.
Elsewhere, Maresca continued to work with a mix of the senior players who didn't travel to join their national teams and younger players from our Academy, ahead of the rest of his squad returning from international duty later in the week.
