The hard work resumed for several members of the Chelsea squad today as our preparations for Saturday's clash away to Brentford stepped up.

Activity at our Cobham training centre has continued for a handful of Blues players throughout the international break. But with our trip to Brentford now on the horizon, several members of the first-team group returned to work this morning at our Surrey training centre.

Having been afforded time off by Enzo Maresca last week following our busy summer Stateside and truncated pre-season, the likes of Tosin Adarabioyo, Trevoh Chalobah and Enzo Fernandez were back at base today to begin preparations for our trip to the Gtech Community Stadium.

Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia were among those out on the grass this afternoon, while Facundo Buonanotte, signed on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion on deadline day, and Alejandro Garnacho, brought in from Manchester United, continue their adaptation to life at Chelsea.

We have collated a handful of images from the workout for you to scroll through below.
