A handful of first-team players have remained at our Surrey training base, including Robert Sanchez, Trevoh Chalobah and Raheem Sterling, who all started our FA Cup quarter-final victory over Leicester City.

Also involved in the training sessions – held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – were Marcus Bettinelli, Benoit Badiashile, Thiago Silva, Alfie Gilchrist, and young Brazilian forward Deivid Washington.

Several players from our Academy sides also made their way over the road at Cobham to work alongside the senior members of the squad.
