Two Academy goalkeepers are heading out on loan for the season ahead.

Nathan Baxter is returning to Hull City where he spent last season and made 18 appearances, keeping seven clean sheets. Having begun the year as a back-up keeper for the Championship side, he won a regular place before injury intervened.

The 23-year-old has developed experience by moving up the divisions since his Chelsea Academy days, during which he won the FA Youth Cup and contributed to a UEFA Youth League triumph. He then played for non-league sides before time in League One with Yeovil, in Scotland at Ross County, and at Accrington Stanley in League One.

Ethan Wady has signed a one-year extension to his contract and gone on loan to Woking for 2022/23. The 20-year-old American has had previous non-league experience at Tooting & Mitcham, Dartford and at Hendon.
