Hannah Hampton has won The FIFA Best Women’s Goalkeeper Award following her outstanding performances and trophy successes with Chelsea and England in 2025.

The 25-year-old cemented her status as one of the world's finest goalkeepers during the 2024/25 campaign.

She started every Women's Super League game as the Blues claimed the title without suffering a defeat, earning the Golden Glove award in the process after keeping 13 clean sheets, and helped Chelsea lift the Women's League Cup and Women's FA Cup.

Hampton's role in our Treble success saw her included in Sarina Wiegman's England squad for the summer's European Championship, and she established herself as the Lionesses' first-choice goalkeeper ahead of the tournament.

She started every game as England progressed from their group, overcame Sweden on penalties in the last eight, defeated Italy in extra-time in the semi-finals, and then faced Spain in the final.

That showpiece match ended 1-1 after extra time, which resulted in a penalty shootout. Hampton's heroics ensured the Lionesses retained their title as European champions.

After receiving her FIFA Best award, the Blues goalkeeper said: 'Thank you very much to everyone who voted. It is greatly appreciated and really means a lot.

'Thank you to Sarina (Wiegman) and Sonia (Bompastor) for the belief [shown] in me this year. With club and country, we have achieved so much and there is still much more for us to go and get.

'To the fans, both club and country, your support doesn’t go unnoticed. We hear you cheering every single game loud and proud and it helps push us on to go and get the win for you all. So, thank you very much.’

Hampton's displays for club and country in 2025 have also seen her win the Women's Kopa Trophy at this year's Ballon d'Or, be named in the FIFPro Women's World XI, and be voted BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year.

Congratulations once again, Hannah!
