Emma Hayes has been nominated for the Barclays FA Women’s Super League Manager of the Month award after her side recorded four consecutive league victories in November.
Hayes and her coaching team orchestrated a flawless month with emphatic wins over Aston Villa, Everton, Liverpool, and Leicester City. We scored an impressive 19 goals, conceded just three, and now a three-point lead at the top of the WSL table.
Chelsea began November with a scintillating 6-0 victory over Aston Villa. A 3-0 win over Everton followed before Liverpool were dispatched 5-1 at Stamford Bridge and Leicester were defeated 5-2 in a thrilling encounter at Kingsmeadow.
Hayes is shortlisted for the second consecutive month and is up against Liverpool’s Matt Beard, Arsenal’s Jonas Eidevall, and Marc Skinner of Manchester United. The winner of the award will be announced in due course.
