There is an exclusive, in-depth interview with Mauricio Pochettino in tomorrow’s matchday programme, and ticket holders can collect a free copy – while stocks last – courtesy of our new principal partner, Infinite Athlete.

Pochettino sat down with the programme team during the international break to discuss his journey from the farm he grew up on in Argentina, to his days as an international footballer and his development into one of the world’s top coaches.

'When you are smart, and you can perceive tactical things like I could as a player, then after you retire you can translate these things into a future as a coach,' he explained in a wide-ranging interview.

'Then, of course, you receive and add the know-how of all the coaches that you had, and then it’s as important to build your own perception of football.

'We are desperate to bring Chelsea to the place where we deserve to be, and we have to understand that it’s about being clever, having patience, being resilient and keeping strong.

'We are building something different and the fans need to feel and to know what we are doing, and they are very supportive with us.'

There is also a tribute to Eden Hazard following his retirement from the game, with a look back at his time at Chelsea, threaded through with his own words from the numerous interviews he did with club publications over seven memorable seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, the long read takes a look at the life and career of Fred Hanley, the first black player to sign for Chelsea back in 1938. He may not have made a first-team appearance, but Hanley paved the way for those who followed and his story will forever be part of the club’s history.

There’s also the latest from the women’s team, with Emma Hayes, and the Academy, with Mark Robinson and Hassan Sulaiman, plus all you need to know ahead of a massive London derby against the Gunners.
