Ahead of Saturday's match against Manchester United where those lost in conflict were honoured for Remembrance Day, commemorations were also held in collaboration with the Chelsea Heritage Partnership as part of the Those Were The Days series.

The venue was the Tea Bar at Stamford Bridge and those present were joined by members of our Armed Forces Supporters Group and club legends.

The event focused on a football scandal dating back over a hundred years to the First World War, when Chelsea was the ultimate victim of a match-fixing scandal between two of our great rivals, Liverpool and Manchester United.

There was also an on-screen presentation from club historian Rick Glanvill, reflecting on those players and staff who made the ultimate sacrifice in the war, alongside video of iconic past matches against the Red Devils and memorabilia from those great games for fans to enjoy. Prized historical artefacts and photos were on display around the venue.

The club would like to thank the Chelsea Heritage Partnership for its work in putting together another fantastic event.
