A number of Blues were in European qualifying action on Friday evening as the final round of group stage fixtures commenced.

With qualification for Euro 2025 in Switzerland and promotion and relegation for the Nations League at stake, there was plenty of Chelsea representation across the continent.

In League A Group 1, Guro Reiten started and scored for Norway as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Finland. Our midfielder opened the scoring in the seventh minute, but a 98th-minute equaliser saw the points shared.

In the same group, teenager Wieke Kaptein played the entirety of the Netherlands' 0-0 draw at home with Italy.

Those results mean the Dutch sit atop of the group with eight points, three more than Norway who are second. The two sides meet in Bergen on Tuesday night.

Moving to Group A2, Katerina Svitkova started and score her side's opening goal as Czechia came from behind to defeat reigning world champions Spain 2-1. It is the first win of these qualifiers for the Czechs and moves them onto four points, but still in fourth place.

Elsewhere in the same group, goalkeeper Nicky Evrard was an unused substitute as Belgium were beaten 3-0 by Denmark. The Belgians remain third in the group, but now level on points with Czechia.

Group A3 saw the most Chelsea stars feature with England, Sweden and France all having a number of Blues in their respective squads.

Aggie Beever-Jones made her senior debut for England in their 2-1 win over Republic of Ireland at Carrow Road, coming off the bench in the 89th minute. Our goalkeeper Hannah Hampton and Jess Carter were named in the starting XI, while defenders Niamh Charles and Millie Bright both came on at half-time - with Carter leaving the field during the break.

France hosted Sweden, with Chelsea summer signing Sandy Baltimore coming on from the bench for the final 25 minutes and Eve Perisset an unused substitute, while goalkeeper Zecira Musovic and winger Johanna Rytting Kaneryd featured from the start for the visitors.

It was France who claimed bragging rights as they prevailed with a 2-1 win in Dijon, which secures their qualification as they are guaranteed a top-two finish, currently sitting top with 12 points. England are now in second place on 10 points ahead of their trip to Sweden, who trail three behind in third.

Sjoeke Nusken played the entire match for Germany, who have already qualified for next summer's major tournament, as they fell to a 3-0 defeat away to Iceland. The defeat leaves the Germans top of the group, two points ahead of second-placed Iceland on 10.

In League B Group 2, Erin Cuthbert featured for 72 minutes for Scotland in their away clash to Slovakia. After a lengthy 40-minute stoppage due to heavy rain, the Scots would secure a 2-0 win.

And in the same group Jelena Cankovic started and played 68 minutes as Serbia beat Israel 1-0. Those results leave Scotland top of the group, but level on 13 points with Cankovic's side who sit second ahead of their trip to Glasgow on Tuesday.

Sophie Ingle was on the scoresheet for Wales while earning her 140th cap, as she scored the second as they beat Croatia 3-0 on the road. The win sends Wales back to the top of Group B4, now on 11 points.

There is plenty left to play for as there is one more game to go in the group stages - which will be all played on Tuesday 16 July at 6pm - and we can expect to see more Chelsea stars back in action then.
