In north-west London on Saturday, the Blues will contest our 17th FA Cup final. For Chelsea fans heading there to watch the match, we have a guide rounding up information to help you on your Wembley way...

Below are details of a pre-match fan-participation flag display, a fanzone and pub list, the entrance procedure, and we start with recommendations for your journey…

Travel advice

Around 75 per cent of people attending events at Wembley Stadium choose to do so using public transport and Wembley encourages fans to consider the various options in place.

The stadium benefits from easy access to three rail/London Underground stations. These are:

  • Wembley Stadium Station - this is the nearest station to Wembley Stadium – located around 400m (four-minute walk) from the venue. The station is one stop from London Marylebone on Chiltern Rail Services.

  • Wembley Central Station - Located around eight minutes away, this station is served by the Bakerloo Line and London Overground lines with services to key destinations including London Paddington and London Euston stations.

  • Wembley Park Station - situated around 1000m to the north of the stadium (nine-minute walk), this station is served by the Metropolitan Line and Jubilee Line. The accessible lift to Brook Avenue from Wembley Park Station is closed. Wheelchair users will need to leave the station via Bridge Road to make their way down to Brook Avenue where an accessible shuttle is available to take you to the stadium.

Supporters are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance to avoid disappointment or delay to their travel. All those travelling by rail should plan to arrive at Wembley stations no later than one hour prior to kick-off, to allow sufficient time to walk to and enter the stadium.

Post-match, fans are asked to leave the ground promptly and avoid opting for the last train of the day. Please allow for longer journey times from Wembley Stadium to major London transport hubs due to crowd safety controls for safe station access.

Please check the National Rail Enquiries and TfL websites to plan your travel in advance and to be notified of real-time travel information and status updates on match day.

Entering the stadium

The game kicks-off at 3pm and general admission to the stadium will be available from 1pm. Doors for hospitality will open one hour earlier at 12 noon.

Please make sure you arrive at the stadium in good time to assist with security protocols. All supporters are advised to enter the stadium early to avoid queues. Children (14 years and under) must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of two will not be permitted into the stadium.

Please refer to your ticket for your turnstile colour zone. The quickest route to your turnstile entry point is by following the signage for the colour zone. Please ensure you enter via the correct turnstile.

The stadium provides a range of services for those with specialist access requirements including a shuttle service from Wembley Park Station. More access information can be found here

Tickets for this fixture are sold out. Anyone without a ticket should not travel to the game.

Wembley will have multiple ticket checks and security searches in place on the day, so fans are encouraged to arrive at the stadium 60 to 90 minutes before kick-off to allow enough time to assist with the security protocols.

Search dogs with handlers will be patrolling around the stadium to identify and apprehend anyone with illegal or prohibited items, including pyrotechnics and banned substances.

The use of pyrotechnics, flares and smoke devices inside or outside Wembley Stadium is illegal and prohibited. Anyone caught carrying or using pyrotechnical equipment inside the stadium will be immediately ejected from the stadium, banned from future events and dealt with by police. Those caught using pyrotechnic equipment anywhere outside of the stadium will be in breach of a PSPO order and face enforcement action.

Chelsea fan display

Blues supporters are encouraged to be in your seats 30 minutes before kick-off to enjoy the full build-up and hear from a club legend.

You can to take part in forming a flag display in the Chelsea end as we celebrate being the club which has 'Won It All'. This display is in collaboration with fans, with the banner being designed by Walker Rice, a member of the We Are The Shed group.

Please make sure to wave your flag during Blue is the Colour as well as when the teams walk out the tunnel before kick-off. Wave the flag at head height and keep waving it as the players line up and until the game starts.

To create the best atmosphere before the match begins, we encourage everyone to take part.

Fan zone and designated pubs

Both teams will have dedicated fan zone areas where supporters have the chance to join fellow fans to enjoy a drink, including alcohol, food and a DJ. They are an ideal place to soak up the pre-match party atmosphere.

The Chelsea Fan Zone will be located on the east side of the stadium concourse (East Village - shown on the map below) and will be open from 11am. Alcohol will be served until 2pm and it closes 30 minutes later.

The Box Park at 18 Olympic Way is also a dedicated zone for Chelsea fans and tickets for it can be purchased here

There is a list of pubs and bars in the Wembley area designated for ticket holders in the Chelsea section (east side) to enjoy a pre-match drink or meal (please book early to avoid disappointment):

No-street-drinking zone

Brent Council enforces a no-street-drinking zone on Olympic Way and the surrounding area for all events at Wembley Stadium.

This is part of the current Public Space Order Protection (PSOP) in place around the stadium on event days. More information on the order can be found here

Fans drinking on Olympic Way and the surrounding streets will be asked to hand over their alcohol and enforcement action may be considered. These steps are to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Restricted bag policy

Wembley Stadium operates a restricted bag policy. Each person can only bring one small bag into the stadium, and it must not be bigger than A4 size:

height – 297mm (11.7 inches) - width – 210mm (8.27 inches) - depth – 210mm (8.27 inches)

Please note, this applies to the overall bag size. Bags that are half-full and folded over to reduce their size will not be accepted. Anyone carrying bags that do not meet the criteria above will not be allowed into the stadium.

Disabled supporters

Wembley Stadium provides a range of services for fans with specialist access requirements including a shuttle service from Wembley Park Station, British Sign Language, audio descriptive commentary and two sensory rooms. For any further accessibility information, visit Wembley Stadium’s access information page or their support portal.

New tailgating law in force

Since the month of March, entering a football match without a ticket is a criminal offence, with offenders facing a banning order alongside a fine of up to £1,000.

The government and authorities teamed up for this clampdown on ‘tailgating’ – where supporters force their way through stadium turnstiles by staying closely behind legitimate ticket holders.

The first convictions and banning orders for this offence followed the recent Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

Licensed and persistent standing

Chelsea supporters with tickets in Level 1, Blocks 110 - 113 and Level 5, Blocks 506 - 521 are in licensed standing areas. These seats allow supporters to stand or sit safely while enjoying the match. If you have a ticket for these areas, please remember standing is welcome there throughout the event.

Unless you are with a ticket for a licensed standing area, persistent standing during a match is strictly forbidden and may result in ejection from the ground. Persistent standing not only compromises crowd safety but also affects the matchday experience of fellow spectators, especially children and elderly people.

Reporting anti-social or discriminatory behaviour

Chelsea Football Club and Wembley Stadium operate a zero-tolerance policy on any form of anti-social and discriminatory behaviour. If you witness any such behaviour on the day, text HELP to 66566 or contact your nearest steward.

Anyone found guilty of anti-social, offensive or discriminatory conduct will be ejected from the stadium and reported to the authorities.

Offensive tragedy-related chanting, gesturing and displaying of abusive messages is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. People who are found to have committed offences face stadium bans and potential criminal prosecution.
