At half time against the Foxes, we appeared firmly en route to the last four as goals from Marc Cucurella and Cole Palmer ensured Mauricio Pochettino's held a two-goal advantage at the interval.

Yet Leicester fought back in the second period and had pulled themselves level by the 62nd minute. A response was needed – and soon delivered – from the Blues.

Firstly, Leicester centre-back Callum Doyle was dismissed for fouling Nicolas Jackson, who had produced an exquisite moment of skill on the halfway line to break through on goal.

The Foxes attempted to hold firm and force an additional 30 minutes but, in stoppage time, Carney Chukwuemeka struck from close range and Noni Madueke scored from distance to ensure our passage into the last four and back to Wembley.
