Chelsea defender Kadeisha Buchanan scored the opener for Canada in a 1-1 friendly draw with Mexico.

After a strong first-half performance from Canada in Toronto, it took until the 48th minute for the deadlock to be broken. Buchanan connected with a Shelina Zadorsky cross and headed home to make it 1-0.

Jacqueline Ovalle levelled the scoring in the 70th minute to cancel out Buchanan's opener. Our defender played the entirety of the friendly match, as did Chelsea team-mate Ashley Lawrence.

Blues forward Catarina Macario was an unused substitute in the United States' 3-0 win over South Korea in a friendly match in Minnesota.

In our former manager Emma Hayes' second game in charge, former Blue Crystal Dunn opened the scoring inside 15 minutes, before second-half goals from Sophia Smith and Lily Yohannes.
