Sjoeke Nusken helped Germany to a 0-0 draw with Spain in the first leg of the UEFA Women's Nations League final, while four Blues started the first leg of the third-place playoff as France edged out Sweden.

It was a big night for Sjoeke Nusken as Germany played the home leg of their UEFA Nations League final clash with Spain at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion inKaiserslautern.
Blues midfielder Nusken started the match and played all 90 minutes as Christian Wuck's side earned a 0-0 draw, but in truth, Germany tested Spain goalkeeper Cata Coll enough times to have taken the win. Klara Buhl hit the woodwork in the second half before Coll blocked an effort from Nusken and Shekiera Martinez fired wide of the target with the follow-up.
The second leg of the final will be played on Tuesday 2 December at 5.30pm UK time at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.
France and Sweden were knocked out of the Nations League competition at the semi-final stage by Germany and Spain respectively, meaning they would then face each other in the first leg of the third-place playoff on Friday evening.
Chelsea had two representatives on each side, as Sandy Baltimore and Oriane Jean-Francois started for France, while Nathalie Bjorn and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd were named in the Sweden lineup.
Les Bleues were awarded a penalty in first-half stoppage time, which was duly converted by Sakina Karchaoui, before Sweden levelled the scores through Stina Blackstenius.
France had the last word when Griedge Mbock netted in the 96th minute to hand her side a 2-1 advantage heading into the second leg, which will be played on Tuesday 2 December at 6pm UK time.
Earlier in the day, Erin Cuthbert was named in the starting XI for a friendly match with Ukraine in Spain at the Estadio Municipal de Chapin in Jerez. The Blues midfielder delivered some excellent balls from free-kicks early on in the encounter, but Melissa Andreatta's side struggled to break Ukraine's resolve.
In the end, Scotland needed a goal deep into second-half stoppage time to cancel out their opposition's first-half opener as Maria McAneny's last-gasp strike salvaged the point.
The same venue played host to Switzerland's friendly against Belgium later on in the day, and goalkeeper Livia Peng started the match for the Swiss.
It was Belgium who took the lead just after the half-hour mark through Laura Deloose, but Switzerland hit back through Alisha Lehmann in the second half. Tine De Caigny then popped up with the winner for Belgium on 73 minutes to seal the victory.
Over in Braga, Wieke Kaptein started for the Netherlands as the Dutch earned a 2-1 victory over their Portuguese opponents. Aston Villa's Chasity Grant opened the scoring for the Oranje on 21 minutes before Lynn Wilms added a second almost immediately afterwards.
The home side pulled a goal back just before half-time, while Chelsea defender Veerle Buurman was introduced as a substitute just after the hour mark as former England assistant manager Arjan Veurink sealed the 2-1 victory with his new side.
