Ryan Kavuma-McQueen delivered an impressive performance for England Under-17s in a 12-goal thriller against Germany, while Shumaira Mheuka and Chizaram Ezenwata found the net once again in their fixtures.
Several Chelsea Academy players starred on international duty on Tuesday, with a number of England sides in action across the age groups. That included England Under-17s' remarkable 12-goal thriller against Germany, which saw Kavuma-McQueen stealing the headlines.
The winger produced a stand-out display, scoring a first-half hat-trick to put England 3-1 up, before adding a fourth after the break with a clever flicked finish. Kavuma-McQueen was a constant threat throughout, as the Young Lions secured back-to-back victories with an incredible 7-5 win in wet conditions.
Mathis Eboue and Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli also featured in that win for the Under-17s, starting in midfield, while Calvin Diakite was named among the substitutes.
England Under-19s were also in action, and Mheuka continued his fine goalscoring form. After finding the net in a 2-0 win over Ukraine, the Chelsea striker struck twice more in a 4-1 friendly victory against the Netherlands at the Pinatar Arena in Spain.
Mheuka doubled England’s lead midway through the first half before converting a penalty just 10 minutes later, putting England firmly in control. The Young Lions went on to seal a comfortable win.
England Under-18s also enjoyed success, with Ezenwata coming off the bench to score the winner in a 3-2 victory over Canada. The Young Lions had already secured the friendly tournament title with a 4-1 triumph against Morocco earlier in the week.
Landon Emenalo and Reggie Walsh both started, in defence and midfield respectively, while Freddy Bernal was named on the bench as the substitute goalkeeper.
Away from England, Leo Cardoso came off the bench to feature for the final 20 minutes of Portugal Under-20s' 2-1 win away at Poland in the Elite League, maintaining their winning start after beating Czechia earlier in this international window.
Meanwhile, Ted Curd has been continuing his development with the England Under-20s, earning a call-up to train with the senior England squad in the build-up to their FIFA World Cup qualifying win over Andorra, gaining valuable experience at the highest level.
