A Michael Golding brace helped the young Three Lions secure victory against Lithuania this afternoon.

England’s Under-17s were in action on Tuesday as they faced Lithuania and there were a number of Chelsea Academy players involved in the 3-1 win.

Michael Golding (pictured) who captained the side scored a brace as the young central midfielder delivered a fantastic performance to help the young Three Lions to victory.

Golding has been involved in a few competitions this season and has also been named once on the bench for Chelsea Under-21 side.

Other players who were involved in this afternoon’s fixture were Ted Curd who started in goal, Josh Acheampong and Kiano Dyer.

Today’s game was the first of three qualification matches for England during the next week.

The win over Lithuania will be followed by a game with hosts Georgia on Friday in GFF Rustavi Academy (3pm UK time), before the round concludes on Monday 31 October against Israel back at the Tbilisi Sea Technical Center Stadium (2pm UK time).
