Malo Gusto played the full 90 minutes as France recorded a comfortable victory over Azerbaijan in Paris.
The Chelsea defender wore the number two shirt for Les Bleus, and featured at right-back for Didier Deschamps side.
France maintained their 100 per cent record in Group D of World Cup qualifiers, seeing off a stubborn Azerbaijan side 3-0 with Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe opening the scoring in first-half stoppage time.
Further strikes after the break from Adrien Rabiot and Florian Thauvin secured the three points, with Gusto impressing as he helped France claim a clean sheet.
Elsewhere, Jamie Gittens was among the goals as England Under-21s defeated Moldova 4-0 in Chisinau to make it two wins from two in European qualifiers.
The Chelsea winger netted just before the half-hour mark for Lee Carsley’s side, cutting in from the left flank and beating Moldova goalkeeper Victor Dodon at his near post with a powerful shot.
A brace from Divin Mubama strengthened the Young Lions’ position before a late strike from Rico Lewis put the gloss on a fine victory.
Gittens was replaced in the second half by his Chelsea team-mate, Tyrique George, while Josh Acheampong played 78 minutes at the heart of the defence before making way for Ashley Phillips.
Meanwhile, Genesis Antwi played the whole 90 minutes for Sweden Under-21s at right-back, but was unable to stop Italy running out 4-0 winners in Cesena.
