Gusto replaced Jules Kounde in stoppage time during France’s 2-0 victory over Ukraine as part of their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign in Group D.

After Michael Olise and Kylian Mbappe had given Malo’s France the lead, the full-back helped them see out the victory and maintain a clean sheet at the Wrocław Stadium – the venue of Chelsea's UEFA Conference League final victory earlier this year.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen was an unused substitute during Denmark’s goalless draw with Group C opponents Scotland in World Cup qualifying.

Marc Guiu was involved in Spain Under-21s 3-0 victory over Cyprus, coming into the match during the final 10 minutes as they began their Under-21 Euros qualification with a win in Group A.

Meanwhile, Genesis Antwi started Sweden Under-21s 3-0 win over Armenia in Group E of the same tournament. He was substituted with less than 20 minutes left on the clock with his side two goals up.

Harrison Murray-Campbell completed 90 minutes in England's Under-20s narrow 2-1 defeat to Italy from midfield, while Harrison McMahon came into the fray with 30 minutes to go, replacing Aston Villa’s Jamaldeen Jimoh. Shot-stopper Ted Curd was an unused substitute during the contest.

Defender Harry McGlinchey was part of Ireland’s Under-19 side that were defeated 4-1 by France, as part of a double header with Les Bleus, with the second match to come on Monday.
